1. Brain Pop Jr brainpopjr.com


This website has numerous videos about all kinds of content areas. The
videos use appropriate word choice for the K-2 aged children. It asks
questions throughout the video so that you can pause and have
students answer the questions if you chose to do so.
2. WBTV wbtv.com
This website was use multiple times during our Weather unit. We
watched the weather forecast daily and also typed in different places
around the state to see what the weather was in those places.
3. United Streaming discoveryeducation.com
This website has many different weather related videos that we used
during our Weather unit. There was one video that I showed as an
introduction to weather and another video about the tools that
meteorologists use.
4. Teachers Pay Teachers teacherspayteachers.com
This is an incredible website for teachers that I use often. There are
tons of activities and resources on this website that are free (and some
that you have to pay). You can search any subject, grade level, etc.
and a plethora of tools are there to download from one teacher to
another.
5. Pinterest pinterest.com
Pinterest is another great website with craft ideas, and numerous
resources that teachers can use. I found multiple different ideas about
holiday writing prompts, and Dr. Seuss writing and craft activities that I
used in my classroom.
6. Abcya.com
Abcya is a website with different games for students to play. This can
be done in the computer lab or on the SMARTboard as a class. They
have interactive games that can give students the opportunity to
practice a particular skill that you have been discussing in class.
7. Reading A-Z readinga-z.com
This is a fantastic resource with all kinds of books. We use it mostly for
the leveled books that we use in small groups. Each leveled book also
includes a lesson plan, multiple different types of handouts, discussion
cards, and comprehension quizzes. The books are all kinds of genres
about numerous different topics as well.
8. K12 Reader k12reader.com
This website has many different worksheets, lesson plans, and
activities for reading and writing instruction. You can pick a certain
CCSS and the resources will be shown for each standard. There are
handouts to practice the content skills as well as downloads for writing
paper (lined, lined with a picture box, etc.).

Read Works is another great website that provides lesson plans, units,
and reading passages. These reading passages are about numerous
different topics and include comprehension questions to go along with
what was read.
10.Movie Maker (App)
Movie Maker is an app on the iPad that allows students to create
movies. Movies can be uploaded from the device or recorded at the
moment. It is easy to use and is something simple that gives the
students an opportunity to use technology in the classroom.

Scholastic is a great website for everybody! Teachers can find lesson
plans, student activities, and tools on this website. It gives a Common
Core option as well as different strategies and ideas. There also is an
enormous list of books and authors for Guided Reading and grade level
equivalent books.
12.Weebly weebly.com
Weebly is a tool that can be used to make a website or blog. I use
Weebly as a blog for my reflections and as a website for my class as
well as my portfolio requirements. It is easy to use and gives many
different choices as far as appearance and what you can upload onto
each of your pages.
13.Class DoJo app
Class DoJo is an app on the iPad for behavior. You can create an avi for
each student or group and they can earn points for positive behavior or
even lose points for negative behavior. There is also an option where
parents can look at their childs account to see what they are getting
points for and why they are getting them taken away. This app can also
be used to take attendance.
14.Animal Fact Guide animalfactguide.com
This is a website that was used when discussing different animals. It
gives basic facts and pictures about numerous different types of
animals. There are also activity sheets available on this website as well
as additional teacher tools.
15.National Geographic nationalgeographic.com
This website is a great resource for animal information. There are a
plethora of videos, photos, facts, and more! It shares articles about
animals in the world and what is happening to them. There is also a
Kids tab on the website that links you to National Geographic Kids. This
is a more kid-friendly website of the official National Geographic.
