Topic: Technology
Essential Question: What are the benefits from playing video games?
Statement of interest:
My topic and essential question was chosen for the senior project because it relates to one
of my favorite hobbies. Video Games has been around in my family since before I was born. I,
the oldest, was exposed to video games at a very young age. But, over time, I have been more
aware of what I notice and interact in video games and it reflects outside. Whether it be
educational, vision, physical or mental skills that I've developed over the years, it's not just me
attaining it. Other people have used the skills they've gained from games and I've seen it. To this
day, people gain success, skills, and confidence thanks to video games. In my senior project, Ill
be touching on different ages from toddlers to seniors citizens.
Facts:

residents

49% of them are from ages 18-49
25% of them are under the age of 18
26% of them are the age 50 and over
Project Overview & Goals:

My Goal is to give an insight on videogames and what they can be used for more
than just entertainment
To overlook my essential question, Im proposing a game day: a wednesday
where people in the honor rolls play video games in the auditorium. After, theyll share
their experience and what mental, physical, or psychological skill theyve gain from it via
Google Forms.
