would pass the block to Aisha and she would take it and put it inside the drawer. She would then close the drawer and when it made a bang noise, they would both laugh. They kept doing it until the drawer was full and they couldnt close it anymore. Aisha kept trying and was getting annoyed at why it wasnt closing. Khizer kept holding a block for Aisha to take but Aishas attention was now in figuring out why drawer wasnt closing. Khizer waited for a second and then started to put the block back on the shelf. He picked up another one and put it next to it. He kept doing this until he had a row of perfectly lined blocks. He then looked at me and smiling gave a happy clap for himself. Today again I noticed him ordering the trains. He was sitting with assorted colored trains and was trying to put them all in a straight line. He was focusing hard so that he could link the trains well. Khizer was playing with early mathematical concept of space and ordering. In the first incident he was also together with Aisha learning about the space as well as social skills such as sharing the space and reciprocal relationship. As teachers we will continue to build on Khizers mathematical concepts.
