Teaching Experience
Buzz Productions Founder/Artistic Director 2000-Present
I am dedicated as the founder of Buzz Productions, to producing a higher level of performing
arts programming for young actors. Over the past 9 years, I have worked with over 250
children, who normally would not have the opportunity to be involved in musical theater due
to their school environment, social environment, or academic challenge. Duties include:

Providing a fostering environment to train all my students to succeed in all


aspects of musical theater
Creating and overseeing the budget
Hiring designers and teacher
Leading production meetings
Mediating relations between directors and designers
Choosing and developing a season of shows
Developing and managing fundraising events, recruiting talent for fundraisers
Working with vendors and venues to secure performance and rehearsal space
Communicating with press via press release and personal interviews

Regents School High School Study Hall Teacher 2006-2007


I was responsible for running study hall class for 9th-12th grades
My duties included:

Making sure students were on task and using time wisely while in study hall.
Monitoring students on the computers, and assisting with research questions.
Administering make-up exams for other teachers during my class.
Helping students with homework as needed

City School Theater Arts Teacher Pre-K to 8th grade 10/2003-07/2006


Responsible for teaching theater arts and speech classes for kindergarten through
8th grade. On a periodic basis, functioned as a teachers assistant for other
teachers,
Tutor for math and ESL (English as a Second Language), and conducted
Special study projects in the fine arts for all ages groups.
Duties included
Curriculum and lesson plan development
Parent/teacher conferences on student progress
Maintenance of proper documentation according to school policies
Creating an after-school drama program, producing three plays per year
Recruiting and coordinating volunteers (parents and local artists) to support

Theater arts projects


Developing and coordinating fund-raising activities for the theater program,
obtaining support from community businesses

Regents School Substitute Theater Arts Teacher- Jr High 08/200210/2002


Responsible for teaching theater arts classes for junior high students, while
the
teacher was on maternity leave. Duties included:
Curriculum and lesson plan development
Maintaining proper documentation according to school policies

Volunteer Experience

Volunteered at Brown Elementary School in Ms. Alice Ash kindergarten


class. I had the opportunity to read stories to the children, and
engaged them in acting out the story. I taught theater games related to
the story. I also helped with tutoring after school with reading.
I work with the children and youth at Hillcrest Baptist Church. I direct
plays with the 5th and 6th grade students, assist with youth choir
(children age 13-18), and assist with the children choir from age of prek to 6th grade.
While on mission in Bolivia, I taught the team drama skits in Spanish to
perform for the children in the village we were assisting. Also, led
music, art, and P.E activities with the children in Bolivia
While serving as a missionary in Vermont, I traveled throughout the
state leading vacation bible school clubs for young children. I also
helped high school groups that came on mission to Vermont to be
leaders working with the young children with fun vacation Bible school
activities.
