The authors began the article by explaining what child abuse is and that child who
suffered from it tend to become depressed, stressed, and sometimes even suicidal. They
go on to explain that studies have shown that there have been positive results from
studies on the use of meditation. The participants of the original study are asked for a
follow-up two and a half years later. The do an interview and a serious of tests to check
their anxiety, PTSD, and depression. The participants who continued meditation showed
much lower level of all three. This article is helpful because it shows the effects of
mediation in the long run with a follow-up from the original study.

The authors discuss the origin of meditation. The article shows how meditation has
developed over the years into what it is today. They go on to explain that there has been a

lot of positive feedback from patients who have tried meditation to help with their
depression and anxiety. The article explains that difference between just relaxing and
meditation. It also explains how it affects your brain. They explain that meditation helps
stop the depressive behavior to take things negatively. This will help me to explain the
positive effects of meditation and also more detailed information on it.

This is study that took place at Harvard. It discusses how meditation helps gray matter in
the brain. There is a study where the amount of gray matter is measured in people who
volunteer to take meditation classes. There are positive results from the study. The article
explains the many different ways that meditation helps your mind. I can use this article to
show more ways that meditation help you. I will have evidence to show that it helps build
gray matter in your brain. This will help with the scientific part of the essay.

This is an article that also talks about the study done at Harvard. It also helps to explain
how the procedure went for testing the brain of each volunteer. There are also details in
here on how meditation helps in a scientific sense. It works as a secondary source for the
first article. I can use this for more back-up and information on the study. This will also
help explain the effect it has on your brain.

people who participated. The volunteers who had the most problems with their emotional
state where the ones who showed the most improvement. This will help to provide real
evidence that meditation can help. It will also help to explain anxiety, stress, and
depression.

most into your life. The procedures for meditation are explained. They use a lot of
explanation. This will help me to explain meditation further. It will also help to show the
different ways that someone can meditate.
