    ThesufferingstartedinJanuaryof1915.AftertheOttomanEmpiresdefeatbythe
    Russians
    atSarikamis,theTurksblamedtheArmeniansforthelossandevenforsidingwiththe
    Russians.TheTurkishgovernmentgottoworkrightaway.First,theystrippedthemoftheir
    clothesandtheirdignity.ThenallArmeniansweredeportedinanactofretaliation.The
    civilianswhichhadpreviouslybeenshelteredfromthemassacres,weretakenbytraintothe
    desertandshot.Meanwhile,theArmeniansintheTurkisharmywereexecuted.Next,23,405
    Armenianswereroundupinthecapitalcity,tortured,andlaterkilledinAngora(Armenian).
    Then,therealexterminationstarted.TheTurkishgovernmentpassedalawthat

    authorizedthemilitaryauthoritiestotakeanyactiondeemednecessaryagainstthepopulations
    ofcitiesorvillagessuspectedofespionageortreason(Armenian).Thegovernment
    authorizedthemilitarytodowhatevertheywanttotheArmenianpeople.Afterthatlawwas
    passed,onemillionArmeniansweredeportedandkilledenroutetothedesertsofSyria.The

    menwerekilledfirst.Thenthewomenandchildrenwereeithertakentoworkcampsorkilled
    later.TheTurksdidterriblethingstothewomensuchasrapeandsomeArmenianwomenwere
    evenburnedalive.Duringthegenocide,awaytogastheArmenianswascreated.Theirmethod
    isverysimilartoAdolfHitlersgaschambersonlymoreprimitive,becausetheTurkstrappedthe
    Armeniansincavesandthrewgasgrenadesin(Armenian).
    Todaythebattlestillrages.Thoughmorepeoplearentdying,theTurkishgovernment
    continuestodenytheexistenceofthegenocide.Theyevenopenlystatedthattheywere
    disappointedinthePopewhenhereferredtoitwiththeGword(Turkey).TheArmenian
    peoplehaveneverbeencompensatedfortheirsuffering.EvenintheUnitedStatesofAmerica,
    whereapersoncanspeakhisorhermind,thegovernmenthasnotdeclaredthetravestyasa
    genocide.
    100yearslatertheArmenianpeoplearenotinternationallyrecognizedasanoppressed
    people.100yearslatertheTurkishgovernmenthasnotpaidfortheircrimesandhasgotaway
    withkilling1,300,000Armenians.Theyareamodeltothosewhoarecorruptenoughtotryto
    exterminatearaceandgetawaywithit.
