ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 2015/2016 DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSIONS

The Academic Registrar, Busitema University invites eligible applicants who wish to be considered for
admission under the private sponsorship scheme and government for Bachelor of Nursing for 2015/2016
academic year.
Eligibility
(a)
Degree Programmes:General Requirements
i.

Interested applicants should have: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five
(5) passes. (Candidates who obtained results 7, 9, X, Y and Z at O level need not apply)
AND

ii.

(b)

Should also have: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two (2)
principal passes in prescribed subjects obtained at the same sitting. Only candidates who sat
A Level in 2014, 2013 and 2012 are eligible to apply.

Diploma Programmes:General Requirements

i.

Interested applicants should have: Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least five
(5) passes. (Candidates who obtained results 7, 9, X, Y and Z at O level need not apply)
AND

ii.

Should also have: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one (1)

**** Candidates to qualify for Diploma in Animal Production & Management (DAP) and Diploma in Crop Production &
Management (DCP) should have at least ONE principle pass and TWO subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting.
Mode of Application
The application form with paying in slip will be collected from Busitema University (25km from Tororo), or from
Busitema University Liaison Office, Lincoln Flats, Room A2 Makerere University, Arapai Campus, Nagongera Campus,
Mbale Campus, Pallisa Campus (Papa Keith) & Namasagali Campus. A non-refundable application fee of Shs 50,000/for East Africans or Shs75,000/- for Non-East Africans & a bank charge of Shs 2,500/- should be paid using a paying in
slip in any Stanbic or Centenary Bank branches. A receipt for the application fee will be issued on presentation of a valid
paying in bank slip.

above offices not later than Friday, 12th June, 2015.
