This website is an interactive site that demonstrates each object
being discussed, then it gives an activity for the students to
complete.
To check for understanding and make sure everyone is on track, I
will call on students randomly to answer questions throughout the
lesson.
I will post each shape on a poster board for each child see
clearly. I will review each shape again for the students then I will
send the students on a shape hunt. The purpose and goal of
the shape hunt is seeing if the students could identify different
shapes. As they bring their findings to me I will have a checklist to
Explain that many common objects that they are familiar with form
some of the shapes that were discussed in class. A video will be played
and the students will have to get into buzz groups to discuss the video
and come up with different objects that are the shapes we talked about
whether it is in the home or any where else.

Extension Activities
Technology
Students will bring items from home that is one of the shapes that we
talked about in class. We will the discuss the purpose of this object or
how this object is used in the house.
Strengths
The overall lesson went amazing. The students really enjoyed the
lesson and it kept their attention the entire time. The students
respected me and they were well behaved. The students were
showing understanding and raising their hands to give steps
when prompted. A few students were allowed to come to the
board to show what they learned. Another strength of the lesson
taught was that there was student engagement that required
students to keep their thinking caps on, which was definitely the
most important strength.
