General Focus:
To improve reading reading, math and science proficiency scores, to implement student
focused technology
Goal for Professional Growth:
Continue to learn and implement best practices in GOLD Assessment/Creative
Curriculum
Continue to apply technology as part of 21st century skills for learners
Implement science nature-based invesitgation study to meet standards in the areas
of: science, math and reading.
Rationale for the Plan
Student learning concerns addressed: (Include baseline data for analysis of the goal
and progress.)
Providing many demonstrations of ways students can represent their learning. To provide information that is
meaning and organized with investigation study. Make sure that students have access to materials and tools
needed to promote their learning with our nature based study.

Alignment with building and/or district student achievement goals:

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics are an integral part of


our learning.
Our school belongs to the community. We welcome and encourage
community involvement.
Professional development training/learning opportunities and collaborative team
activities:
Teacher will participate in all district building professional development training sessions:
*Pre and post school year sessions/days
*Professional Development sessions: bi-weekly Wednesday afternoons
*Professional Development sessions: SW Consortium 3 full days
*Collaborative meetings as scheduled
*Specialty workshops trainings: Young Investigators (4 days), Pint Size Science (4 days)

I feel that I met my goal.
We had ipad for either 2-1
or 1-1, depending on the
day. I also watched quite a
few webinars on the GOLD
website.

Last year my goal was to


incorporate more technology into
my classroom. Another part of the
goal was during PD time to watch
specific procedures of using GOLD
online.
This year I would like to correctly
implement a topic/study that I
learned from my Young
Investigators workshop. I would like
to have my study meet standards in
science, math, technology and
literacy.

There will be a communication log between myself and administration of the learning and
needs that our topic study brings up. My topic study has 3 distinct phases that my
administrator will be able to easily identify through observations and through the
communication log.
