Inquiry question research parts 3&4
The continuation of research on the history of the automobile has
brought me to come side roads concerning the evolution of the
environment that the automobile travels in. The typical automobile
when it was first introduced was actually made useful to the wealthy.
These people lived often in big houses in the countryside where they
could bask in their wealth in solitude. When it came time to go to town
or go to work they drove their newly manufactured cars. There were
no asphalt roads or even gravel roads, the roads were made of dirt and
often carved by the cars themselves rather than bulldozed flat. The
popularization of the assembly line had caused the prices of the cars to
come down dramatically; this allowed more and more people to snatch
them up. The only problem with this influx is that there were not
enough roads to travel on in the cars as well as not enough gas
stations to fill up at and on top of it all there werent enough repair
shops. The state governments saw this and decided it was time to
invest in the automotive industry by building roads and putting up gas
stations and repair shops around populated areas. This snowballed
and allowed the cars to evolve as the roads and technology got better
and the process has continued till this day. The invention of the car

has allowed society to flourish and expand to places that we havent
been before; heck there was a car, rover, on the moon! Bu the
expansion of the United States as well as other countries was one of
the many milestones that happened, the invention of the fast-food
restaurant came about because of it too.

The next website I found has most of the major events from the
beginning of when cars were being manufactured. The dates start at
1901 and continue up till 1997, which is a long and arduous section of
time within the automotive culture. Within this time frame the
foundation and the continual refinement of the automobile lies. It
shows the beginning to the first automobile and goes through a lot of
history of racing and bootlegging and all sorts of information that is
essential to the evolution of the automobile.

There wasnt an author to go along with neither the information nor a
publishing date. Mostly the website was just a stitching together of
important events within automotive history.
