International arbitration professor, arbitrator and practitioner. Professor of


arbitration and mediation with a focus on developing student practical skills.
Experience as counsel of record in ICSID Convention, ICSID Additional
Facility and UNCITRAL proceedings. Arbitrator in ICSID, ICC, CCB and FINRA
proceedings. Mediator of the District of Columbias Superior Court.

EXPERIENCE

Appointed international arbitrator before the World Banks International


Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) for an international
dispute between a party from the Peoples Republic of China and a Latin
American sovereign (Tza Yap Shum v. Republic of Peru, 2007-2011).
Appointed international arbitrator by the Court of Arbitration of the
International Chamber of Commerce for a USD 5+ million international
dispute between a party from a common law country and a party from a civil
law country (2013-2014).
Appointed arbitrator in two high amount national arbitral proceedings by
the Bogota Chamber of Commerce Center for Arbitration and Conciliation
(2014-to date).
