Closure
Those actions or statements by a teacher
that are designed to bring a lesson
presentation to an appropriate conclusion.

Any Questions? No. OK, lets move on is
not closure. Closure is used:
To cue students to the fact that
they have arrived at an important
point in the lesson or the end of a
lesson.
To help organize student learning
To help form a coherent picture and to
consolidate.
How do you intend to engage your
students in thinking during
CLOSURE?
To close the lesson I will have the students do a write-up on how the
symbol reflects them and to describe the vessel.
To engage the students I will ask the do describe the different images
that are resembled in their symbol and how the image connects to
them.

Differentiation
To modify: If the activity is too advanced
for a child, how will you modify it so that
they can be successful?
To extend: If the activity is too easy for a
child, how will you extend it to develop
their emerging skills?
Assessment
To differentiate the lesson for a student with special needs I would have
them create a box shape.
