OBJECTIVE:

To highlight the linkage between theory and the practicality of HRM.

To highlight the importance of compensation as a practice in HRM.

3.

To highlight the roles of human resource manager in human resource


development and career development.

Use double space and 12-point of Times New Roman font.


This assignment should contain about 3000-5000 words (at 15-20 pages) for
both questions.

Association (APA) format
References should be latest (year 2006 and onwards)

Question 1 Compensation
You are a HR manager and have been assigned to a task force to increase the minimum
salary of your clerical staff. The first step you decide to do is to relook at their job
description.
1. By using a position of a clerk at Human Resource Department, identify five new
tasks which you think that you will assign to this position.

in detail the role of compensation as a motivation tool to increase the
performance of your staff.

Question 2 Talent Management


In this continuously changing economy, it is important for organisations to have the
ability to evolve through its employees learning and continuous development in order to
be able to anticipate technological innovations and to compete with other companies
worldwide. Organisations worldwide have come to realize that the knowledge, skills and
abilities of their talented employees represents a major source of their competitive
advantage (Collings & Mellabi. 2009; Lewis & Heckman, 2006).

By using any one company as an example, discuss in detail two roles of a


Human Resource Manager in managing their talent to maximize their
performance for competitive advantage. Do not disclose the legal name of the
organisation unless you have obtained permission from the management.
