Additional comments on Planning For Student Learning

Raffaella planned a developmentally appropriate lesson that aligned with CCCS and was written
using MSU format. Her objectives were to identify odd and even numbers and their relevance to
division and solve word problems using multiplication and division rules previously learned. The
content was well organized and related to student interest.
Additional comments on Teaching For Student Learning
Raffaella made excellent use of wipe off boards, SMARTboard, and published material to enhance
her lesson. Her guided practice gave students good time on task, turn and tell activity, and work
review that had great student interaction.
Additional comments on Assessing Student Learning
Raffaellas use of the wipe off boards and the SMARTboard gave her good informal assessment
and the workbook task a chance for more formal assessment.
Additional comments on Creating A Positive Environment For Student Learning
The students worked respectfully in whole group using various learning strategies. Transitions in the
lesson and in moving in the room were smooth with no non-instructional intrusions. Instructional
time was efficiently used with a variety of activity to stimulate learning. She gave her students good
tie on task for them to be comfortable working and answering.
Additional comments on Professionalism
Raffaella presents effectively and is comfortable using technology. She plans developmentally
appropriate lessons using material students easily understand. She continues to reflect positively
and use her reflections in planning future lessons.
Overall Comments
Raffaella is doing a great job planning and teaching her lessons. She is on target for her two-week
take-over. She is gaining valuable positive experience and doing a great job.
