Course Outline
Course Description: This course examines communications technology from a media perspective. Students will
developknowledgeandskillsastheydesignandproducemediaprojectsintheareasoflive,recorded,andgraphic
communications.TheseareasmayincludeTV,video,andmovieproduction;radioandaudioproduction;printand
graphiccommunications;photography;digitalimaging;broadcastjournalism;andinteractivenewmedia.Studentswill
alsodevelopanawarenessofrelatedenvironmentalandsocietalissues,andwillexplorecollegeanduniversityprograms
andcareeropportunitiesinthevariouscommunicationstechnologyfields.
Prerequisite:TGJ3M

ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION STRATEGIES:
Occurs before instruction begins to determine student readiness and to obtain information about student interests
Assessment as learning (Formative): Occurs frequently and in an ongoing manner during instruction, to enable students to monitor their own progress
