The LoTi that would best describe the learning activity is level 3 or 4 because the students are using the internet to collect data about the hummingbirds, then using that information to create a PowerPoint. How could you implement this proposed learning experience and still comply with your districts Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies? The best way to comply with the districts Internet Safety and Student Privacy Policies is to have the Journey North site already on the computer prior to allowing the students to work on them. Also, monitoring the students and their activity on the computers will help keep them safe. Having permission from the parents to allow the students to publish their PowerPoint online will ensure that there will not be any privacy issues.
