Teaching three sections of Freshman Honors English, one Film and Literature
class, and co-teaching Writing for Broadcasting, under the supervision of a
mentor teacher. Units taught included literary analysis of novels, Shakespeare,
various works of nonfiction, and poetry, in addition to grammar and composition
skills. Films taught included classics and representative works from various
genres, with an emphasis on their historical significance and literary origins.

World History (10th grade), under the supervision of a mentor teacher. Units
taught included political theory and origins of government, as well as the history
of the United States Constitution and political system. World History units
included the development of civilization throughout the globe, studying various
cultures, societies, and religions from pre-historic times through the Middle Ages.

Reading and scoring of essays and objective responses on standardized testing of
elementary and secondary school students for statewide testing in Connecticut,
New Jersey, Tennessee, and Michigan. Each project consists of extensive training
in examination rubrics, successful passing of qualifying tests, and scoring of
standardized tests in English or math, including reading student essays and
qualitative assessment of objective responses to various math problems.

Directed fall play for Lamphere H.S.: Defying Gravity by Jane Anderson, which
explores the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster from the perspectives of eight
characters. Adapted play to include additional ensemble characters; worked with
students on character and scene development, blocking, interpretation, and
relationships; supervised all technical elements; worked with students and adult
volunteers; and coordinated all publicity and program activities.

Performance of educational and dramatic reenactments for visiting school groups,
general public, and special events. Performed as Orville Wright, Wilbur Wright,

Gard as part of the American Girl Series.

Created and produced an Executive Summary Report for corporate staff at Ford,
General Motors, and DaimlerChrysler. This project required reading summaries
of all daily broadcast news output from national/local broadcast (TV/radio) news
coverage of the automotive industry and preparing summary analyses of content,
as well as input of market/demographic (regional, audience, etc.) information.

Typed verbatim transcripts of TV and radio news segments, including interviews
