In consideration of
age level characteristics and
their interest level; grouping the
student together will maximize
their individual learning
experience.
8.1
Write the objectives on the
board, create a slide on flip chart
and make sure the directions on
the graphic organizer/worksheet
corresponds to objective.
8.3
The students are placed in
groups by mixed ability.
9.1
As the students complete
their graphic organizer, the
teacher will provide a guide to
keep students on track. This will
be display on the dry erase
board.

How did you integrate technology into the goals, materials, methods,
and assessment for this lesson to improve students understanding of
content?

We integrated technology
through the use of a flipchart
of

the given long I vowel spellings.

The flipchart provides
opportunities for students to
physically move the words
rather than remaining stationary
through the whole lesson We
are using worksheets that
contain pictures to support the
visual learners.

What technology was used? By whom? Why was this appropriate

technology to integrate?

Elmo- Teacher- Allows teacher

to zoom in on parts of the

worksheet that the focus is on.

Provides larger print for
students who need it.
Promethean Board- teacher and
students. This was appropriate
because this gave the students a
chance to get some hands on
practice with the long I vowel
sound spellings.
Activeinspire- teacher and
students. This is appropriate
because the students that are
visual and kinesthetic learners
will get to see representing
pictures and they will get a
chance to get up and move
around.
