Notes to the director and performers


To perform this work, the choir must think of itself as a string section.
Observe the phrasing marks and articulate without using a consonant.
The director may choose to change the vowel in any of the pieces as long
as each section uses the same one.
Numbers I, II and IV are romantic in nature and require much expression
in each phrase. Number III is more dance-like so space between phrases
and a detached articulation are desirable.
