To
Whom
It
May
Concern:
I
am
writing
on
behalf
of
Kyle
McLellan.
I
am
extraordinarily
proud
of
Kyle
for
pursuing
the
profession
of
teaching.
Kyle
worked
for
me
when
he
was
an
undergraduate
and
graduate
student
at
The
George
Washington
University
in
two
capacities.
First,
he
served
as
a
research
assistant
for
the
Institute
for
Politics,
Democracy
&
the
Internet
(IPDI),
a
think
tank
focused
on
how
new
technologies
can
make
democratic
politics
more
open,
transparent,
and
effective.
I
served
as
the
institutes
deputy
director
and
later
its
director.
Kyles
work
at
IPDI
was
incredibly
diverse
and
sometimes
very
complex.
He
assisted
with
planning
the
logistics
for
a
number
of
our
training
events
and
several
annual
Politics
Online
Conferences.
His
attention
to
detail
and
ability
to
juggle
multiple
tasks
were
outstanding,
as
was
his
ability
to
help
lead
a
team
of
his
peers
throughout
the
conference
planning
process.
At
IPDI
Kyle
also
helped
research
and
organize
a
number
of
white
papers
and
publications,
and
he
became
one
of
the
institutes
lead
bloggers.
Over
just
a
few
years,
Kyle
became
a
leader
in
the
digital
politics
community,
and
he
was
even
selected
by
his
peers
to
speak
at
the
largest
conference
for
our
profession,
the
South
by
Southwest
Interactive
Conference,
about
digital
diplomacy.
Kyle
also
worked
with
me
in
a
second
capacity
on
the
marketing
team
of
GWUs
Graduate
School
of
Political
Management.
While
at
the
GSPM,
Kyle
helped
develop
marketing
plans
and
manage
outreach
to
potential
graduate
students
through
social
media,
as
well
as
at
real-world
events.
He
is
a
strong
writer,
communicator,
and
organizer.
It
was
very
apparent
to
me
that
Kyle
has
an
incredible
love
for
learning,
a
concern
and
care
for
others,
and
an
ability
to
lead
calmly
even
in
the
most
stressful
situations.
I
highly
recommend
him
as
a
future
teacher,
and
look
forward
to
hearing
stories
about
his
first
experiences
in
the
classroom.
Sincerely,
Julie.germany@gmail.com
