Written by: T. Natasha As-salamu alikum/Kia ora Lujain and whanau/family! I was very impressed to see photos of the art you have been doing at home Lujain, this is wonderful! You have always enjoyed art, not too long ago you would either choose a colour you liked to cover the page with or you would wait unsure with uncertainty wanting guidance. Now you are using shapes, mostly circles to replicate things you see around yourself at the moment this is people. I especially liked how you sued smaller circles to represent curly hair. Review of learning I enjoy hearing how you have overcome uncertainty as you strive for accuracy and persist. Art is a wonderful way to be expressive while strengthening your fine motor and eye-hand co-ordination. I can see you enjoy sharing your accomplishment while strengthening already strong conenctions between home and centre. Where to next? I can see how important friends and other people are to you and will continue fostering relationships while ensuring plenty of opportunities to be expressive in all medias. When you are engaged in art I will focus on the shapes and colours you are using to initiated conversations with you around your work. I know your mother also enjoys art and I hope this can be a wonderful bonding experience for you both.
