I.

Summary
Engineer Romeo Estabillo who finished Civil Engineering at Mapua Institute of
Technology went back to his hometown to organize his own construction firm. At
first, he hired two assistants to help him with his duties. And as he gained experience,
his clients grew in number and he will need additional employers and civil engineers
on a full time basis. Operations went more complex that decision-making must be a
little scientific. He now doubts if he will continue his plans.

II.

Statement of the Problem


Engineer Estabillo is being pressured with organizing a bigger firm and hes
confused if he will push through with his plan because of its complexity.

III.

Alternative Courses of Action


1.) Hire more employees
2.) Refuse to continue the plan
3.) Organize and assign various levels for planning

IV.

Justification of Chosen Alternative


Among the alternatives courses of action, to organize and assign various levels for
planning is the best alternative because it will be less stressful if planning and
organizing are divided into levels. In that case, the organizational firm would be more
effective and perform less error in terms of scientific decision-making.

V.

Comments

With this specific problem, it shows that organizing bigger firm would require
bigger effort. He needs to clarify each details of what he shall do to make his decision
making much effective. Following the steps of decision making is one of the best
solutions to this problem.
