firstly what they know about Indigenous Farming. T writes Ss
answers on the butchers paper as a brainstorming activity. If
Ss are struggling T will google Indigenous farming and show
pictures etc, to prompt answers.

T explains Ss are going to watch a YouTube clip of a man


named Bill Gammage, a famous historian. T discusses the clip

T displays a Venn Diagram and explains what it is. T discusses
with Ss that they are going to make lists to compare
Indigenous farming and farming today, following on from
YouTube clip and prior lessons.

T shows Ss a picture of Brewarrina Fish Traps. T asks Ss what


they think this picture might be, Ss will give answers.
T explains to students what this picture is and what it is used
for and a map of where Brewarrina is. T will use the website

paragraph each and discusses the information with Ss to see
their comprehension of the notes read.
T asks students to draw a picture of the fish traps in their HSIE
book with the heading Brewarrina Fish Traps and the short
date.
