Super Why Bedtime for Bear
1. Shared Reading pg. 78 (8:00)- In this concept the students see the text that the
instructor reads to them aloud. In the video, Waytt reads the book to the audience
and asks them to read along. It is similar to reading aloud to students while they
can follow along by seeing the text.
2. Grapheme-Phoneme Relationship pg.63 (15:56)- The concept of a sound that is
represented by a letter or a combination of letters. In the video, wondergirl uses the
word jar by sounding the letter j with the ar sound to make the word together.
3. Morpheme pg.63 (17:22)- The concept of a free or bound morpheme composed of
phonemes. A bound morpheme is used with another morpheme that includes affixes
and inflectional endings. In the video, the word star is being used. They add the
letter s to form a plural. It is a bound morpheme that has two morphemes.
I will use public television in teaching reading in my classroom because technology
used today in classrooms are a major impact on learning. I feel it holds the attention
of learners with graphics and audio that interacts the students with fun and exciting
lessons. I think it will help me in teaching reading because I like the use of
technology and can navigate with it pretty easily and I feel like my students will
want to learn by seeing it visually.
