Re:

Proposal to Support Solar Roadways

Purpose

The purpose of our proposal is to assess the feasibility of Solar Roadways and whether or not our
company should make use of them.

Intro

Currently, the United States has a huge dependence on fossil fuels in order to power our country.
Not only is this harmful to the environment, but it is having adverse effects on the country as a
whole. This came to be a problem because fossil fuels are an easily accessible source of energy.
With this information, we would like to present a new and upcoming technology that will solve not
only energy problems in the U.S., but also allow us to expand as a company. Solar Roadways is an
innovative and creative solution to the problem of energy and unused roads (Introduction). The
problem with the use of fossil fuels is a large issue within the company because, while it provides
cheap power to our customers, supplies are not infinite, and we need to think about the long term
life of the company.

Proposed
Tasks

We will be performing the following tasks to determine the feasibility and usability of Solar
Roadways:
Task 1:

Acquire basic information concerning energy systems.

We researched how much energy the U.S. produced annually through different methods
such as fossil fuels, nuclear power, and other green sources.

Task 2:

Acquire specific information concerning green energy production.

We researched the different types of green energy such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric.

Task 3:

Acquire information concerning Solar Roadways.

We looked into the progress, FAQs, and specifications about the panels. We looked to
see what the solar roadways are capable of.

Task 4:

Prepare and conduct survey.

We prepared and conducted a survey.

Task 5:

Prepare report.
We made conclusions based on our research, and put it into a report.

We need to learn more about what energy systems we are using.

We need to learn what other green energy sources there are.

We need to make sure we have all information we need to make an

informed decision.

We want to get an idea about how people feel about his product.

This will be the time where we collect all the information and bring it
together.

We are a group of academically achieving students whose interests lie in the mechanical engineering
and software engineering fields. This innovation falls under our interests umbrella.
