SUBSTATION AUTOMATION SCADA SYSTEM SUBSTATION AUTOMATION SCADA SYSTEM SMART INTEGRATED POWER MONITORING, CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM is an advanced power quality monitoring and events detection system. It is combined with remote monitoring and control of the Electrical network apparatus, operating under a single and integrated application software and a state-of-art field data acquisition hardware capable of implementing both functions internally from a single box. The system is centralized and provides a remote web monitoring with clients. The system is integrated, providing both the power quality analysis and remote monitoring and control from a single field data acquisition hardware (in a given location) and a single software package (control center) The smart RTU acts as an RTU for remote monitoring and control and also computes power quality analysis without the need to acquire the information from third party power quality analyzers. The automatic monitoring and control units (RTU) of substations are implemented on NI cRIO platform. The specialized control software is implemented in LabView graphical programming language The software visualizes the virtual operating diagrams (single line diagram) of the substations. It allows interactive monitoring and control over any existing apparatus. The system is centralized and provides a remote web monitoring with clients.
