    I am deeply saddened to hear about the shooting that took place in front of the Habana Outpost in Fort Greene earlier this week. My prayers go out to everyone affected by this occurrence - especially to the two victims who were injured and their families. As we all know to very well, youth-on-youth violence greatly undermines the fabric of any community. In cases such as this we shall reflect and plan productive ways to mitigate violent acts within our communities and neighborhoods. An act such as this will not go unpunished and lawful measure will be taken to ensure safety for the people. As I continue to have ongoing briefings and updates as it relates to this matter, I am confident that the NYPD is doing everything in its power to ensure the safety of the community while they seek to bring the perpetrator to justice.
