Ever since I was in elementary school, I have been passionate for three things: being a helping
hand, make an impact on peoples life and promoting in others my passion for learning. I belief
this is why I take my call for teaching very seriously. My pedagogical beliefs are that children
have a natural curiosity, my job is to mold not to make leaders, I belief in progressivisms which
promotes exploration and problem solving attitudes. I have dedicated my career to each of these
pursuits, as my enclosed resume will attest.
Thats why I was excited to see the advertisement on Sunshine elementary teacher in your
district. IPS. The mission of your district is to prepare and empower all students for life and the
vision values are excellence, scholarship, respect, and courage; these provoke great appeal to me
because of its great commitment to education. It would be an honor to teach your students and
serve a district that maintains high educational standards and provides students with
opportunities for personal growth.
My qualifications include 3 years of babysitting to different families in the state of Indiana, and
various year of ongoing volunteering in different organizations dedicated to help community and
strength education in the community.
At the present time I am working as a babysitter of a family of four children a 12 year old boy
who has autism, an 8 year old boy, and a set of twin girls who are four years old. This position
has enabled me to gain many skills like preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals and
snacks for children, regulate children's rest periods and nap schedules, meet regularly with
parents to discuss children's activities and development, work with special needs child with
Autism, help children ages 6 and 10 years old do and check homework. I also have other
professional skills that will beneficiate a classroom setting; Fluent in

Spanish, Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, proficient written
and verbal communication skills, Work well with others, Speak and listen effectively, Organized
and responsible, creative, flexible, and patient.
