To Whom It May Concern,


I first met Denise Venegas during the 2013 2014 academic year, when she enrolled in my
Photography 1 class at Merced High School. From that time to the present, I have had the privilege of
teaching Denise in Photography 2 and have witnessed her grow as a student. Denise is a superb
individual who has distinguished herself from other students at Merced High School in her academic
achievements as well as extracurricular participation. Denise has demonstrated an ability to quickly
grasp and apply concepts. She consistently produces amazing photographs, and currently has a 3.71
grade point average.

In addition to her impressive academic accomplishments, Denise has challenged herself with
new extracurricular activities and always strives for excellence when doing so. For example, upon
joining our schools Journalism Club, Denise immediately took on the roles of contributing to the
Merced High School paper as both a photographer and writer. She has been a regular participant at
Journalism Club meetings, and has devoted herself to ensuring the club functions efficiently. Last year,
Denise was chosen to have her photograph displayed in the Merced Mall Art Show. She recently was
one of three students to have a photograph displayed at the Annual MUHSD Student Art Show. Having
observed her work product and drive first hand, I have complete confidence that she will excel in
whatever she sets her mind to.

As a person, Denise is one of the most devoted, respectful, and honest students I have ever
encountered. Denise shows great work ethic in everything she does, participates in extracurricular
activities and demonstrates wonderful character. I am certain that she has the skills and fortitude to
tackle the challenges of education at the collegiate level. I look forward to seeing where the future
takes her, as I know she is going to do absolutely marvelous things in life.
