The Corruption of Man
Man was created many years ago around the beginning of earth. The first man to be
created was Adam. Adam was made by God and created in Gods own image. God created Adam
and breathed his breath of life into him. When Adam was made, he was made from Gods
deoxyribonucleic acid. This resulted in him looking very similar to God. Humanity was created
because God wanted a relationship and someone to be with. Adam walked and talked with God
just as if humans would walk and talk to each other. God and Adam were able to do this because
they both were in the same dimension. God gave Adam a garden in which to live. Within this
garden were also the animals God created. Gods job for Adam was to name all the animals and
to have dominion over the earth. God placed Adam on the earth and made him ruler over the
earth. And the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a
help meet for him.(Holy Bible. KJV Vers. Columbus: Rod Parsley, 2012. Print.) God did not
want Adam to be alone, so he put Adam to sleep. While Adam was asleep, God took a rib from
him and made a woman. He named the woman Eve. When Adam woke, God brought Eve to
Adam. In the garden was the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This tree was what God told
them not to touch or eat from at all. The tree of knowledge of good and evil was Adam and Eves
offering to God. The tree belonged to God. Satan took the form of a serpent and entered the
garden. Satan then deceived Eve into eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of
good and evil. He deceived her into believing that they were also gods and they were trapped in a

human form. Eating the fruit would give them all the knowledge and release them to their god
form. Eve was deceived into thinking God hid something from her and Adam. After Eve took the
fruit she gave it to her husband, Adam. Adam, knowing it was wrong, also took a bite of the fruit.
Knowing what they did and where they were, God came looking for Adam and Eve. They hid
from God because they were ashamed of what they did. Because they had disobeyed, God had no
choice but to banish them from the garden. If they would eat off the tree of Life they would live
forever in their unredeemed state. This is when humanity fell. Adam and Eve could no longer
walk and talk to God as they once did because now they were in a different dimension. God
placed a curse on the earth and cursed the ground. When Adam took from the tree of knowledge
of good and evil, he gave his dominion over to Satan. Now humanity is in a fallen state. The
human race has not just become corrupt, but the human race is born corrupt, evil and wicked.
Every human is born into a fallen state because the earth is under a curse. The story of
Macbeth shows the evil instincts that are born with humanity. A child is not taught how to hit
someone, steal something, or hurt someone. The instinct to hurt someone comes natural to
mankind just as a lion has a natural instinct to devour its prey, kills it, and eats it. In the story of
Macbeth, he is riding home from battle when he comes across two witches. Being told that he
will become king he begins to go mad. Through a series of events, Macbeth eventually kills the
king, and finds himself in a war. Losing his head, Macbeth dies in battle because of his actions.
Macbeth leads himself and his wife to their death. Macbeth allows the words spoken by the
witches to drive him to extreme actions of doing anything, to accomplish a selfish greed that he
began to desire. The evil that is shown from Macbeths actions to become king, is within him. He
did not learn how to deceive and murder another human being. He naturally committed murder.
This instinct is coming from Macbeth's own human nature.

An opposing argument could state that man is born good, and becomes corrupt because
society has corrupted humanity. Man is not born evil, everyone has the desire or want deep inside
to do good and to help eachother. In the King James Bible it states Behold I was shapen in
iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me (Holy Bible. KJV Vers. Columbus: Rod Parsley,
2012. Print.) Being born into sin, man is naturally evil. Because of mans sinful nature, humanity
itself has corrupted society and formed society to corrupt. Today the crime rate is very high,
people are murdered, raped, and robbed. The earth has huge natural disasters like earthquakes,
hurricanes, and tsunamis. These natural disasters kill huge amounts of people and destroy many
man made civilizations. Being in a constant decline since the fall, the earth needs redemption
from being under the curse. In the King James Bible it states For we know that the whole
creation groaneth and travaileth in pain until now. (Holy Bible. KJV Vers. Columbus: Rod
Parsley, 2012. Print.) The earth is crying out for redemption.
Humanity is in need of a savior to redeem them from the curse. In order for the human
race to be redeemed, they had to pay for their sin. Knowing humanity is incapable of such a
thing, God sent his only son to come redeem the human race and pay for the sin of the world.
Jesus died and payed for the sin of humanity. They can now be redeemed back to God. Being
born into sin because the human race was placed under a curse, humans, in their heart, are evil.
Man was created in the image of God, because of this, the seed of God is still in man. Although
the seed is dead, salvation through Jesus brings the seed to life.
