Marking period three, Spring 2015. March 11, 2015 to March 27, 2015
Target
To increase writing stamina and student self-editing skills. To consistently demonstrate the conventions
of standard English consistent with effective editing skills. Writing will be free from errors in grammar,
spelling, and language usage. Students will be able to independently generate ideas, organize them,
write a draft, and edit and revise the draft to make it a final in forty minutes.

Strategies
I will use writing partners, whole group mini lessons, small group mini lessons, individual writing
conferences, and Lucy Calkins text to reference different strategies.
Professional Development
Professional development that would help me in supporting this goal would be planning for
differentiated groups, setting individual goals, and teaching Lucy Caulkins.
