Advertisement for Live London Magazine


Scenario: Two teenaged females are sitting in a caf talking, the sound
then picks up as the first female begins the dialogue, she is convincing
her friend to read the magazine Live London that has all the
conventions that her and her friend enjoy reading.
Introduction: Chatting and talk will be heard- taken from a Sixth-Form caf so
that the audience feel better familiarised with the advert.
Music: Playing underneath will be a track taken from Sound-Cloud made by
Jordain Oconnor posing to be one of the artists within the magazine. This will be
heard throughout the entirety of the advert.
P1: Hey! Have you heard?
P2: Heard what?
P1: You havent heard?
P2: No Just tell me!
P1: But its the biggest. Greatest! LIVEST News in London!
P2: Great so what is it?
P1: Live London Magazine!
P2: Whats that?
P1: Its the hottest new magazine about! Equipped with Gossip, advice, tips and
ideas to make your life the livest it can be! In this weeks edition, Lady T and
Sistah D gave interviews on whats going on with their battle.
P2: Ooo! Juicy!
P1: And Brad Dante is talking about his new charity books for kids!
P2: Oh hes such a heartthrob! Smart, sexy and caring!
P1: I know!! And it tells us whats going down in London right now!
P2: Great! How much is it?
P1: Thats the beauty of it, its free!
P2: OMG! Gimme that!
P1: Hey! Thats mine!

P1: Live London. With the hottest new gossip and the livest events why not get
one today at any local store! Live London. How can you make your London live?!

This part will be a typical persuasive voice over so that it fits in with the
conventions of a typical Radio advert. This advert is to appeal to the target
audience of those 16+. By mentioning the celebrities the audience is able to get
a better insight into the content of the magazine. I am able to appeal to the
female range of the target audience by specifying Brad Dante as a heartthrob
but also able to attract the male audience as he is an established and well known
athlete. By repeatedly using the term Live in reference to the title, I am able to
put into the audiences subconscious the magazines main attraction, that London
is live place and keeping with that, it has a range of different opportunities and
cultures within it.
