    It's based on cfm: cubic feet per minute, the flow rate in cloth media.1
    For example, 300 cfm. 2

    How to change 8.33 ppg to 62.4 pcf?


    Specific weight is:
    =g

    = specific weight (N/m3, lb/ft3)


    = density (kg/m3, slugs/ft3)
    g = acceleration of gravity (9.807
    m/s2, 32.174 ft/s2)

    For example, the density of water is 1.940 slugs/ft3 at 39 oF (4 oC).3


    = (1.940 slugs/ft3) (32.174 ft/s2) = 62.4 (lb/ft3)
    and,

    1 lb/ft3 = 0.133681 lb/gal (US); 1 lb/gal (US) = 7.480519 lb/ft3


    Ergo, = (62.4 Ib/ft3)(.133681 ) = 8.3416944 Ib/gal 8.33 ppg
