Field Trip Reflection

On May 19, 2015, my welding classmates and I went to the Woldumar Nature
Center on a field trip. We went there to see a demonstration on blacksmithing,
specifically to see a forge weld. We were hosted by a man named Bill Jenkins. He
has been doing blacksmithing for quite a while. He is the leader of an organization
called the Blacksmiths of Woldumar.
I am not inexperienced in blacksmithing. I have learned a few things
throughout the past few years. I started out when I heard about a guy in my town
that let people use his forge. Every week, my dad and I would go and use his forge
and we really liked it. Sadly, the gentleman had to move locations and we couldnt
go there anymore. I was hooked though and now I am a member of the Blacksmiths
of Woldumar and am trying to get my own forge up and running. I am not there yet,
but I will someday.
