Bookbanning,sometimesreferredtoasbookcensorship,istheprocessoftakingabook
offoftheshelvesofaschool,library,orbookstore.Bookscanbecomelabeledaschallenged,
meaningthattheyareplacedinjeopardyofbecomingbannedbecausetheircontentmaybe
foundoffensiveortooprofound.
Thisissueshouldbeconfrontedbecauseittakesawaythe
freedomofartiststosharetheircreativeideas.Thisconflictswiththelibertiesgiventothemin
theBillofRights.Whilebookbanningistechnicallyunconstitutional,forwhateverreasonitis
overlookedandallowedinthissocietytoday.Thebanningofbooksshouldbestoppedbecauseit
takesawayalearningopportunityfromthosewhowanttoread,shieldschildrenandyoung
adultsfromtherealitiesinlifethattheyshouldbecomeawareof,andoppressesthefreedomof
writers.

Certainparentsandpublisherswouldagreeinsayingthatcertainstoriesshouldnotbe
