List all the tasks/responsibilities that you observed during this shadowing
experience.
They have to be able to adapt to the advancement in technology to keep
prioritized. Every morning he has to answer questions or concerns employees or
clients may have via phone calls, emails. Attend any meetings prior to scheduled
items. Communicating and managing well is essential with having a partnership
of 11 people plus interns.

What education level (degrees) is needed for this position?


Four years of graduate school plus two to three years of the architecture
program which you have to apply for; Tyler recommends going for a Masters.

What specific skills are needed to be successful--at the top of this job?
(List all skills required--not just the technical skills)
You have to be able to adapt quickly to changes that are done all over the
company. Being able to use all different types of software as well as being able
to sketch by hand. Managing well is also a skill that they need because they are
in charge of certain projects which at times put them in charge of everyone.
Working with others is also a key skill needed.

What work experience is required to attain this level of this career?


After you graduate you have to intern for 3 years to be licensed architect. After
his internship he worked as a draftsman that helped him improve with his job.

Would you like to work for this company? __________ Why or why not?
Working as an architect seems like it would be fun if you are truly dedicated into
the job but for me personally I would not like to work for the company because it
is a sitting in front of a computer type of job.

Is this a job you would be interested in having as a career? ________ Why or


why not?
Personally no, the amount of time dedicated into the career is intense.

What was most valuable about this shadowing experience?


(Dont write anything about free lunch or missing school)
Being able to be in the environment because it helped me with realize if that
career was something I wanted to follow.

Was there anything that you really did not like about this shadowing experience?
While being there all they wanted was to let me watch them work not really
explaining what they were doing, I would have to ask what was going on to know
what exactly they were doing.

How specifically would the certificates you earn in Company help you in this
position? Are the competencies we are teaching current and in line for this job?
I think it would help tremendously because the amount of managing needed as
well as communicating.

Other comments:
I had a great time job shadowing, it helped me save a lot of time that would have
been spent in the future.
