2010 Virginia Festival of the Book 
Poetry& Prose
CONTEST
A CELEBRATION OF WRITING BY HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE
SCHOOL STUDENTS
PURPOSE:
Student authors in grades 5-12 are invited to create original
poetry or prose for submission to the Virginia Festival of the
Book’s “Celebration of Student Writing.” The 16th Annual
Virginia Festival of the Book is in Charlottesville from March
17-21, 2010. More information on the Festival, including
school and youth programs, can be found at www.vabook.org.

GUIDELINES:
Submissions must include (1) the writer’s name, (2) the
