Newscast Project

In groups of 3-4, you are to create and present a newscast in


which you will report the current events in a Spanish-speaking
country. You can choose from current events, weather, sports,
etc., however each member must have a different role in the
report. This broadcast must be a minimum of 4 minutes long.
The show must be done in good taste, use effective,
appropriate and persuasive vocabulary, and must use some of the
vocabulary words from chapter 9 in the textbook. You must
underline the words and verbs you use in the script. You must also
include 5 subjunctive sentences underlined.
All members must equally participate in the writing and
acting of the script and everyone must have equal
speaking roles.
Be sure to keep your newscast interesting and include your own
personal touch, action, costumes and props (if necessary). Please
be creative!
Your finished script must have:
A title page with group member(s) name(s), your programs
name
An overview of what the newscast will discuss,
An interesting script that excites and inspires the audience,
Clear and simple information that would make the audience
want to watch your broadcast every day,
All vocabulary words used should be underlined.
Your presentation of newscast must have the following:
A captivating execution of the script that will excite and
inspire the audience,
Clear and effective speech, that will make your broadcast
easy to understand.
