Every maxillary tooth is more DISTAL that its counterpart; therefore Maxillary 3 rd molar &
Mandibular Centrals are the only teeth with 1 opposing counterpart

Maxillary Arch is WIDER than mandibular arch; this means:

Functional cusps are MAX L & Mand B; Non-functional cusps are MAX B & Mand

Jaw Movements: ONLY THE MANDIBULAR ARCH MOVES!!

Working (laterotrusive) = where mandible moves towards
Non-working (balancing) = NOT where mandible moves towards
Protrusion = mandible forwards
Retrusion = mandible backwards
