Introductory phase:
This lesson plan will be run over the course of
2 English lesson as an assessment piece to
cap of this years learning on persuasive
writing. The students will work individually on
some planning worksheets to form ideas about
advertising themselves as an explorer. They
will then move on and form a first draft of the
letter to the audience they have chosen.

Conclusion:
The concluding lesson will be taught the following day, to really hone in on perfecting the draft and
producing a final piece for assessment.

Assessment will look at writing and creating achievement standards for year 4.
