Nothing but a Disaster

This political cartoon compares the problem of illegal immigration with the oil spill in
the Gulf of Mexico. In the cartoon the oil rig represents Latin America and the oil
spill represents illegal immigration. Uncle Sam is saying that the spill is a disaster,
to stop it at its source, and have to fix it. Essentially the picture is trying to
portray that illegal immigration is nothing but a disaster.

In This political cartoon the person on the left is representing an American and the
person on the right is representing a Latino immigrant. The American is trying to
portray that if you dont even speak English that you shouldnt be working here. The
person on the right simply proves the American wrong by intelligently and
sarcastically saying how the American wasnt speaking proper English. This shows
the Latino immigrant that he was standing up for himself.
