This reading extends what you learned about triads in Appendix 1D to seventh chords. If you
read Appendix 1D carefully this should be present no new challenges. (Though it does present more bass figures for you to memorize, alas...)

Video Review Lecture: Triads, Figured Bass, and Seventh Chords

Under Assignment 3 on Blackboard, there is a link to a screencast lecture that covers review
topics from our second lecture and one new topic: SEVENTH CHORDS. Watch that portion of the
screencast several times [it begins at 35:47] as additional review for the material in Laitz.

There is no comprehension quiz for these topics. However, if it becomes obvious in section
that you havent studied the content, you will receive a penalty on your semesters participation grade!
