series; select a subject in which you can
document a change.
Suggestions include but are not limited to; a

ice cream melting, something in motion,
sunlight moving across a room.
Procedures:
1. Sketch and plan the changes you intend to document, these sketches will act as your
storyboard. Plan carefully.

2. Take images with your camera. You are only required to submit 5 finished photos in
your sequence. However, you will probably take 15 or more photos to complete the
series. Save all of these photos, they will be required when you submit your work,
and assessed as part of your process.
3. Focus on the composition of your photographs, this will take planning and patience,
be sure to leave yourself enough time to work on getting things the way you want to
have them.
4. After you have your photos taken, you will need to enlarge the five images in the
darkroom. Scan the images and save the files.
5. Using your copied files you may start cropping and adjusting your photos to suit your
needs. Adjustment to be made include: size, cropping, adjustment to colour,
channels, saturation, highlights and shadows.
6. Once all the changes have been made, you will put your photos together as an
animated GIF.
7. See powerpoint on Edmodo for instructions on how to make the GIF.
8. Answer Reflection Questions:
Reflection Questions:
a) What was the most challenging part of this assignment for you? Why?
b) Did you successfully document a change or evolution?
c) How did you do this, or why do you think you did not succeed at this?

the effectiveness of the assignment? Explain.
