Teachers are being asked to learn new methods of teaching,

while at the same time they are facing even greater challenges
of rapidly increasing technological changes and greater diversity
in the classroombut relatively few teachers are feeling well
prepared to integrate educational technology into classroom
instruction S. Department of Education, 1999.

What is Educational
Technology?
Educational technology is the study and ethical
practice

of

performance

facilitating
by

creating,

using,

and

appropriate technological processes and resources.

(Association for Educational Communications and Technology

REFLEXION
Educational Technology is a discipline that has as aim to
integrate technology and communication to create a better
educational environment taking into account the different

disciplines that can help and facilitate the teaching and

learning process.

What is Educational
Constructivism?
Constructivism is a theory based on observation and
scientific study about how people learn. It says that
people

construct

their

own

understanding

and

knowledge of the world, through experiencing things

and

reflecting

on

those

experiences.

When

we

encounter something new, we have to reconcile it with

our previous ideas and experience, maybe changing
what

we

believe,

or

maybe

discarding

the

new

information as irrelevant. In any case, we are active

creators of our own knowledge. To do this, we must ask
questions, explore, and assess what we know.

REFLEXION
Constructivism is a theory used in education and in
other fields. Its foundation is that the learner
constructs in his/her knowledge through the

application of previous knowledge with the new

experience giving us as a result a new knowledge.
That is one of the reason which each person has a
different way of learning and acquiring knowledge
because each one of us has our own experiences and
our own way of processing that into a new learning.

What is Educational
Instructional Design?
ADDIE is a model of instructional design based on different
educational theories which purpose is to develop a wellorganized class having coherence and sequence.
Each one of the phases should be connected with the previous
one in order to have as a result a meaningful learning.

What is Educational Blooms

Taxonomy?
REFLEXION

Benjamin Bloom created BLOOMS TAXONOMY, it is an

integration of theories and it is composed by three domains
(cognitive, affective, and psychomotor).
This Taxonomy has as aim to develop or promote a higher
level of thinking in the human beings in order they can
acquire a meaningful learning.

How these terms are interrelated?

Educational technology plays an important role in meeting the goals

and objectives of learning and facilitates the students exploration
and reflection on the content.
Combining multimedia technologies with the World Wide Web has
created new possibilities for the development of instructional
materials as well as for the delivery of instruction; however, these
technologies are often used as productivity tools to disseminate
knowledge through lectures, drill and practices, and tutorials.
Simply using technology tools does not ensure a quality education;
how educators use technology is more important than whether they
use it. The question is when and how to use educational technology.

There exist relationship between constructivism and technology,

they has transformed the teaching- learning process. It has been
used in many classroom to foster meaningful learning experience.
Technology can provide the vehicle for accomplishing constructivist
teaching practice also it complements constructivism by providing
ongoing information and tools for students creativity and
development, which contributes to an increase in students learning
outcomes. Applying constructivism in classroom using technology
create more learning opportunities.
Blooms taxonomy is considered a fundamental and essential
element within education community. It have similarities categories
that are found in Instructional design.
