FOREWORD

Welcome to Mrs. Briggss class.


SUMMER IS OVER! SCHOOL HAS
BEGUN!
I am here to teach; you are here to
learn. I will do my job; you will do
yours, and we will together use this
year wisely and beneficially.
Positive attitude is the key of
success. Lets keep it all the time.

WHY DO WE HAVE
PROCEDURES?

A procedure is the way that we do things.


To do things right, we have to follow some
simple procedures, for example:

To open your locker, you have to select your


combination as directed by the lock
manufacturer.
To place a call on your phone, you need to enter
the number in the right order.

So, to be successful in learning, you need


to follow some simple procedures.

1.) ENTRANCE
Make sure you have all
necessary materials for the class.
(Notebook, pencils,etc)
Enter the classroom quietly.
Go directly to your assigned seat.
Write down your assignment in
your Agenda

2.) Bellwork

Immediately start the bellwork


that will be posted on the
Smartboard
Do the bellwork on the correct
pg of your notebook
The first 5 minutes of every
class is silent so you can
complete bellwork and get ready
for class

3.) Restroom/Hall Passes

No passes will be given the first


or last 10 minutes of class
You will only get 4 restroom
passes each grading period
You will not be able to go to your
locker during class

4.) Turning in Papers

Papers will be turned into the


black trays on your class shelf
Make sure your name is on your
paper
All papers in the tray will be
graded

5) Pencil Sharpener

You must sharpen your pencil


during bellwork
If your pencil breaks during
class time please ask to
sharpen your pencil

6.) Fire Drill

Line up at the door and be


listening to instructions.
Follow your teacher to the bus
circle and stand on the painted
line in Lane #4
NO Talking or Running

7) Using Mrs. Briggss

8.) Windows, Door,


Smartboard, and Teachers
Desk

You are not allowed touching or


being at these areas without
permission

9.) Leaving the Classroom

You must be in your seat quiet,


with your area clean
I will call your name, seat
number or group for you to
leave after the bell has rung

10.)WHEN YOU
ARE ABSENT

Get the assignments from your


classmates or portal. Get any handouts or worksheets from Mrs. Briggs
Do the work at home.
Any work that was due the day you
are absent is due the first day you
return.
You get 1 day to make-up work for
each day absent.

11.) HOMEWORK
PROCEDURE

You will be given homework daily. Write


down in AJ!! It will be checked the next
day that you have math class.

NO WORK=NO CREDIT

Complete Homework in pencil


If you dont have your homework you must
complete a missing homework form and
get a parent signature to earn partial credit.

Follow all directions the first time they

KEEPING YOUR
Notebook NEAT FOR
SUCCESS
We will number our pages in the notebook as we go
along to ensure all students are on the correct pgs.
Make sure you are keeping all your work on the
appropriate pages:
A pages = Bellwork
B pages= Notes
C pages= Class Work/Practice Problems
D pages = Homework
Keep your notebook neat and organized.
Your notebook will be checked every 6 weeks.
This notebook needs to come to class DAILY.
