1. Select good quality, sexually


matured and gravid breeders.

2. Set a pair of breeders, with


female inside a plastic container.

3. Observe the bubble-nest built by


the male underneath a leaf.

4. Release the female when ready


to mate.

5. Observe mating. Male embraces


the female in a curling position.

6. Remove female when mating is


finished. Male takes care of eggs.

7. Observe hatching after 48 hours.


Remove the male after hatching.

8. Feed fry with infusoria (1-4 day)


and Artemia (5-14 day).

9. Feed with commercial feeds 3 x a


day (15th day onwards).

10. Transfer to bigger tanks after 2


weeks and to individual bottles
after 2 months.

11. Change water twice a week at


20-30% water exchange rate.

12. Rear until marketable size (2-3


inches) for a culture period of
4-6 months.
