Forwarding E m a i l s
Do you check your student email account? If not, you are missing out on valuable information. In order to simplify your life and
still get all of your emails, forward your student email to your personal email. That way, you will receive all of your student
emails within your personal email account! Follow along the directions below to set it up and if you need further assistance, a
more in-depth instruction handout is in the library.
Step 1: Log into your student email account
Step 2: Open the email Settings page
Step 3: Choose the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab
Step 4: Enter a forwarding email address
Step 5: Accept the forwarded address.

Research Tip

Free Stuff!!!

When researching a topic, does it have more than one word? If so, use
quotation marks around them. By doing so, it will keep the words together and
search as a phrase. This is called phrase searching.

Thats rightfree stuff! No need to


check these out as they are for you to
keep! Some of them are older,
publications, but still have great
information!

Example: When searching for items on cardiac arrest, it should look like
cardiac arrest.

If you search cardiac arrest without the quotation marks, you will find more
items that you even need on subjects that have nothing to do with what you
want. You may even find criminal justice-related articles because of the
word arrest!
