INITIAL QUESTIONS © What are the position(s) for which you are applying? * Please describe your education, training, experiences and accomplishments which would help us better understand your qualifications for these positions. ‘= What has motivated you to apply for this position at Eastview High School. + What are your thoughts regarding the "Characteristics of an Ideal School?" Give background on the PUZZLE PIECES ‘Ask the candidate to identify those EVHS guiding principles that “jump off the page" for them and discuss how they would “bring those ideals to life" at Eastview High School. ‘+ Discuss the “Characteristics of an Ideal Teacher.” How would colleagues and students describe you according to these ideals? Name 2 or 3 colleagues of yours who epitomize these characteristics? \What are your plans for professional development, as you seek to become the ideal teacher? ‘+ Discuss the "Art of Teaching and the "Science of Teaching;" what do these phrases mean to you? (Discuss the fact that we are looking for teachers who WANT to teach 9” graders and can make a mult-year commitment vs. teachers who WILL teach 9” graders, until they can ‘move on to something else.’) + Discuss use of technology as a tool to support and enhance instruction.
