Module 3 required questions
Be prepared to journal:
1. 1.

Identify the key components to adopting blended learning.

Integrated systems to support seamless assimilation of online content.

High quality dynamic content aligned to national standards so
students can stay engaged with uniquely personalized learning.
Analytics that provide more personalized learning experiences.
Automation that eliminates low-value manual tasks
Applications that enhance student motivation.
1. 2.
What Rotation blended learning model would be fairly easy to
adopt? Justify your selection with examples, reasoning, and own
experiences.
I feel that the station rotation blended learning model would be fairly
easy to adopt because in my 2nd grade class we already have
mastered the rotation model (without blending the learning) using
small groups and subject activity centers. I have incorporated the
computer as one of the stations. An example of the rotation model
that I would like to implement would be the model Aspire ERES
Academy uses with 3 different stations. One station would be small
group with teacher getting individual instruction. The second station
would be working independently or with partner. The final station
would be online with adaptive software. I could even have 4 groups
with an additional group using the computers or a cooperative group
of students. My experience is that I already use rotations and I use
MobyMax online program for math and ELA. The MobyMax enables the
students to work at their own levels and pace. Students can see
results immediately. I can analyze the data minute by minute and this
enables me to look at each child in order to differentiate learning with
computer reinforcement. I want to explore the adaptive software
available to implement blended learning with this model of rotation. I
also am working on obtaining more computers for the classroom.

1. 3.
What Rotation blended learning model would
be most difficult to adopt? Justify your selection with examples,
reasoning, and own experiences.
I feel that the flipped classroom and the individual rotation would not
be for my 2nd grade class and is designed to work more likely in middle
school and high school.
The most difficult model for me to adopt would be the lab rotation
because even though we have a pod design with a computer lab in
the middle of the classrooms, it is difficult to schedule lab time. A
learning lab model is dedicated for predominately online learning and
our computer lab is used for writing and researching for the most part
by grades 4 and 5. Students would not be able to rotate on campus
and we do not have additional classrooms for the other learning
modalities. There are not enough teachers to adopt the learning lab
model.
