One of the problems many people (especially youngsters) face in our local

community is not feeling represented by our political class. This has been obvious
during numerous protests lead by young people against the governement and the
current political class. Potential entrepreneurs do not feel they have the necessary
support to build a business and attract investors, mainly because of the economical
environment (taxes, beaurocracy, lack of grants). A possible solution would be training
them to obtain european funds which is a costly and complex process requirng project
management skills and economical know-how. Lots of small businesses supported by
lobbysts working in politics can't realistically compete against multinational which
invest huge sums of money.
As to those young people working in multinationals, they are frustrated about
earning so much less than their counterpats in other countries. A solution for coming
up with a product that can compete with other products produced by mutinational
environments is to come up with a product that is creative and offers an increased
added value at a smaller price. A solutions for the unsatisfied employees in
multinationals is to unionize.
Althougn unemployment rate has deacresed in the last few months, youth
unemployment is still an important problem to tackle. The solution I think would sort
this problem would be to establish a connection with youngsters and the working
environment every since highshool, in order to make them take responisibility over
their careers and help them decide what they want to do. Also, an educational reform
would be necessary, as in the last years, "SAT" scores have dramatically dropped to a
rate of almost 50%.
I have felt the need to paint the whole picture of the struggles youth workers
are facing, as I belive it is a multidimensional problem.
